MTAS and the GMC

Remedy has been unsuccessful in its attempts to persuade the Fitness to Practice mechanisms of the GMC to investigate the Architects of MTAS.

We believe that this has created a very unwelcome precedent.

Thanks you to the forty people or so who attended the rally and mass lobby today. We had people from as far afield as Skye and Edinburgh, Truro and St Thomas.

The rally was addressed by Norman Lamb MP, Ian Gibson MP and Andrew Lansley MP, all three of whom have been instrumental in raising the issues faced by junior doctors in the House of Commons over the past year.

Supporters attending the Rally then proceeded to lobby their MPs later in the day.

While it has been a difficult year, during which junior doctors have become increasingly despondent, it is important to recognise that even small events can have an impact, raising awareness that, despite Government claims, doctors continue to face career termination in the NHS.
